When you make the decision to become a yoga teacher, you dream about the magic of someday teaching sold out workshops to amazingly dedicated, generous and open-hearted students.
I've had the honour of teaching some pretty damn radical workshops in my four years as a yoga teacher but this one - it was extra special.
Over the weekend at The Raw Kitchen in Fremantle, Perth, a group of brave and totally game yogis got together to Transform + Thrive. We did a lot in our three hours together - from setting intentions, creating an altar and exploring breath and organic movement - to rocking a deeply connected Classical Kundalini practice, flexing our skills as listeners and speakers, plus learning new mantas and digging into meditation.
Holy molasses! It was everything a yoga teacher could ever hope for.
It's funny. I don't really consider what I do "teaching." I am a vessel for a message that's great and old and wise, and I happen to be able to capture it and send it back out in a way that resonates with all sorts of people. The feedback from this workshop was heart-warming, affirming and just so awesome. I want to thank each one of you yogis who came and created such a safe and expansive energy with me.
If you missed this round, fear not, I will offer this workshop again soon. I might even bring it to Canada when I venture there for my wedding(!) this coming summer.
Huge love to you all. Make sure you sign up in the right hand column to get upcoming workshop deets. Om Namah Shivaya! -Lx
